Michael Jackson Dead at 50
King of Pop, Michael Jackson died Thursday after suffering Cardiac Arrest. The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear.
When the Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics arrive at his house, Jackson wasn’t breathing. They then took Jackson to UCLA Medical Centre.
Jackson had many No.1 hits and his “Thriller” is the best-selling album of all time. Jackson was ranked with Elves Presley and The Beatles.
Sino-Kadazan..That’s who I am..
I am a Sino Kadazan. Sino Kadazan is a mix race between Chinese and Kadazan(one of the ethnic in Sabah). As a daughter of a Kadazan mother and a Chinese Father, it is an advantage for me because i can fluently speak in Chinese(Mandarin) and understand if people talking in Kadazan Dusun language.
But being a Sino Kadazan also has the disadvantages. I started facing it since year 2005, which in year 2004, i finished my ‘Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia’ (SPM) and when the result came out in March 2005, i passed it. I did apply to study at government University such as UiTM, UTM and other but what happened is, i didn’t got any offer at those University for Diploma, or even for Certificate Course. This is because i’m non-Bumiputera. But in policy, Sino Kadazan or Sino Native is considered as Bumiputera. So Confusing!
So i went to find a job, but continuously applied for higher education with full of hope. Thanks God! Finally, I had being offered to study in Polytechnic KPTM in year 2007 for Diploma course. Waiting so long right.. Now i’m studying for my final semester.
One more thing, after finish my Diploma, I wish to continue study for Bachelor. I applied for ‘Sijil Anak Negeri’ so it will be easier for me to get into the University. But i’m worry because i applied for it since February and now already June but i still haven’t get it. The person in charge always says not yet…not yet..and not yet..
Is the same thing in 2005 will happen again to me?
But what i have learn is, being a Sino and doesn’t get any special thing like Bumiputera push me to work harder.
